What is the maximum you can borrow with a student loan?

Stafford (Federal Loans) $65,000 for subsidized (government pays the interest while you are in school and during deferment/grace periods), $135,000 for unsubsidized (you are responsible for all the interest).

In grad school, the limits are $18,500 per year, up to $8,500 of that subsidized and the rest unsubsidized. Undergrad is much less, like $4-5K a year and post grad (such as law or med school) the amount you can get goes up.
